BREZI YNË is an Albanian non-profit association that was founded in 2013 in Zurich, providing space for intercultural exchange and addressing social issues through projects in the fields of visual and performing arts, music and literature.
Support BreziBREZ or BREZI (English: sash) is a piece of clothing of the Albanian folk costume, which is worn around the waist by both men and women. Another much more important meaning of BREZI is "generation". So, BREZI YNË means "our generation".
EVERYTHING desired by the heart of those interested in art, culture and various social topics and NOTHING related to politics and religion.
This association initiates intercultural dialogues over the language of art with the aim of recognizing and addressing differences and commonalities. We are focusing on the fact that integration is about people living together; not merely alongside each other.
The BREZI board members, a group of dedicated volunteers, have taken on the mission of contributing to their community. Despite having full-time jobs and personal responsibilities, they spend their free-time on working on projects and organizing events. Their hard work and selflessness has made a significant impact on the Albanian community in Switzerland and beyond.
